Fly to Dire Dawa and drive to Harar; the two cities are 54km apart. Exploration of the old walled town of Harar includes the Harari Museum, the Abdullahi Ali private museum, Rimbaud House, and the 16th-century grand mosque with its elegant twin towers and slender minaret.

This morning, drive 80km south-west of Harar to Gerawa to see the largest coffee plantation of Harar coffee. In the evening, visit the most enduring attraction, "a hyena man show."

This morning, some 30km east of Harar on the Jijiga road, make an excursion to Babile and the Valley of Marvels. If the day is Monday or Thursday, attend the most interesting camel market.
Then After lunch, drive to Dire Dawa and, en route, visit the Awadai chat market. Then continue driving to Dire Dawa.

After breakfast visit the largest market of Dire Kefira, often attended by rural Oromo and Afar in traditional garb, and then fly back to Addis Addis Ababa.
